PR: Self drafted

Wearable Muslin

Pattern Description: Self Drafted Top

Fabric Used: Cotton Jersey

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I have a shell for a bat wing top that I made a while ago, I simply altered that by adding a band with self covered buttons on the side, a turtle neck and bands for the sleeves.

I think you can do this by using B5247 you can narrow the waist down to the abdomen and then make a band for the bottom. You can make the neck a bit smaller if you dont want the cowl and want a more turtle neck feel and then just cut out some bands for the arms :)

Conclusion: I love this top and may try it in black

PR: Jalie 2908

Jalie 2908

Pattern Description: Jeans A. has a low rise

Pattern Sizing: I cut a size T

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? yes

Were the instructions easy to follow? I did not use them, I mostly just looked at the pictures. This is the first Jalie pattern I have used.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I love the whole thing, this is a great jeans pattern. I like how fitted they are throughout the hips down to the knees. I used Sandra's method for the fly front, I always use that method when I want a clean finish.

Fabric Used: Stretch denim

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: none.

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I will make them again and I would recommend this pattern the fit is really great.

Conclusion: Love these and started another pair yesterday..lol I will take more pics when I wear them.

PR: M5936

Pattern Description: Semi-fitted princess seamed jackets A, B have separate lapels, flared peplums and sleeve variations.

Pattern Sizing: I cut a size 6

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? yeah

Were the instructions easy to follow? The instructions were fine but the way they you attach the lining is just dumb. I dont understand why they have you put the lining together minus the sleeves then attach the lining hand sew the hem and then hand sew the lining sleeves in...why? when I constructed the lining with the sleeves bagged the jacket and hand sewed the lining to the jacket at the hem... super easy, less hand sewing and much neater. anyway, save yourself the time and do what I did..lol :)

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I like the pattern but for some reason I hate it on me. It's constructed so well and I even used some tailoring tricks but I just dont like it now..lol maybe it's the fact that I am trying it on with an awful tshirt and jeans..lol

Fabric Used: Boucle

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: none

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? no :(

Conclusion: I don't know why I don't like this on me and its a shame cuz I took my time and even made bound buttonholes..lol

Downloads

Hello,

as many of you know I started charging for the downloads of my videos, mainly because it cost me money to store them etc.. I have tried to keep it a small download fee and so far many of you have been great about this.

Now I wont call anyone out but I will say this, once you purchase you get sent a code that allows you to download so I am only going to ask once to please not forward, share or distribute that pass code to your friends/family.

I am notified when a download occurs and by whom so it is very easy for me to know that if I have not received a paypal payment and my file is downloaded someone is sharing.

I do not want to have to pull my videos off the net as they have helped many and I hope that will continue but fair is fair so let's try to keep it that way.

Thanks,
Mimi
