PR: Top V8772
Top: V8772
Pattern Sizing: I cut size 6
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes, its actually a really easy bow blouse to sew up.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I love the fit of this pattern, it is slim fitting and the bow and collar options are great.
Fabric Used: Poly Blend Silky something I had in my stash, LOL
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: None
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I don't know about the bow again but will for sure use this a button up TNT.
Conclusion: Love it!
PR: V8773 & V8772
Skirt: V8773 & Top: V8772
Pattern Description: V8773 Skirt Various Lengths
Pattern Sizing: I cute the size 6 but ended up taking in about an 1"
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes
Were the instructions easy to follow? I didn't bother with them, a pencil skirt is easy enough if you have made one before.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I like the split in the CF or SF options
Fabric Used: I used a Silk Blend Twill I had in my stash
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: none
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes, I really like the pattern and fit

Sharing....
My 18 year old daughter wrote a song a few months back that really took me back, you see she was my first baby, I was 15 yrs old and her bio was pretty much non-existent in her life. I always wondered if she wondered what happen but she really never said anything and she really never asked any questions so I guess I never really knew what she felt. I assumed that because my husband has always been there for her that maybe she didn't feel a loss. It goes to show that no matter how much love she was shown and how pivotal my husband has been in her life she like most children wonder...
When she sang me this song my heart fell to my stomach because it was the first time after 18 years that she had shared how she felt about it. I hope you enjoy and in some cases I am sure there are some of you who can relate :-(

PR: Mission Maxi #2
This is my more casual version of Jamie Christina's Mission Maxi.
Pattern Description: Maxi Dresses w/ Options
Pattern Sizing: I cut the size 2
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes
Were the instructions easy to follow? I did not use them, I did read them for the sake of the review and they are really nicely illustrated and easy to follow.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I love the fit! I did not have to alter a thing and the size 2 is exactly right!
Fabric Used: I used a zig zag knit from Joann's
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: None
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes and Yes!!
Conclusion: I will be making this dress a LOT! I am enjoying the fall boots look with the jacket/blazer so this will get me through fall easily.
This is my more casual look worn with my Steve Madden boots
PR: The Mission Maxi
I have seen this pattern made up several times and I had to have it!! I am really into the fall maxi look so this is perfect. This is my first time using a Jamie Christina Pattern and I must say, I am a fan!

B5251 OOP & Up Next....
You know having too many patterns and fabric options can be a bad thing sometimes because I often spend so much time trying to decide what I want to sew that by the time I decide I don't wanna sew, lol!!
This weekend I made a little vest thing from B5251 View B in a Black DK fabric from my stash and I love it!!! I added a pic because what is a post without a pic right? but i will post again when i wear it. It has been in the upper 80's here in Cali so it is just to warm to wear right now. I will do a review when I post a pic of me wearing it...soon....lol

Up Next......
I also just got in the mail this little number from Jamie Christina, the Mission Maxi. I am loving the maxi look for fall and so I am dying to make this one several times!!!

Fall Inspirations
I know I am so late! I should have been sewing my fall wardrobe at least two months ago but it was so damn hot here in Cali i couldn't get into it. Today it is cold as hell and rainy so I began pulling together my inspirations. I am a huge DVF fan so here are a few of my picks from her AMAZING Fall 2011 RTW Collection.
I better get to sewing, LOL!!
Fabric, Fabric, Fabric!

Simplicity New Patterns
Okay so if it weren't for Cynthia Rowley Patterns me and Simplicity would have broken up a long time ago. I have tried to make the relationship work but honestly simplicity is not cooperating. The patterns are so lame and I am so tired of the whack ass PR patterns.
CR is saving them and because of that I still frequent the site to see when she has new patterns. Today was one of those days and although the Winter/Holiday collection is less then desirable there was a new CR pattern. By looking at the envelope one may be a little put off by the model on the pattern envelope looking like she is from an LDS camp but with a little vision and amazing fabric choice this little number could work nicely.
What do you think?
