DeleteWelp Mimi...I like the print in the first frame (count from left to right, it would be the 6th one( the orange black and white) or #6 in the second frame. (black and tan?) the smaller the print the less "busy" it will be especially if you are a petite person. Larger print could be too overpowering!

DeleteI'm always so afraid of trying prints, because I was told that when you're short (I'm 5'0"), you can only wear small scale prints like polka dots. I'm really interested to see how you put together a fabulous outfit with a large scale print for all us shorties out there. :)

DeleteI love, love, love African wax fabric! My mom sent me a bunch and I intend to make my very first project with my sewing machine: a simple skirt with an elastic band. But I'm terrified of messing it up... I need to get over my fear...In the meantime I'll keep reading your blog for inspiration ;-)

ReplyDeleteAnyone in the DC/MD area..check our paradise fabrics for african wax prints. I love this place, and the owner is a super sweet older gentleman. I've been making pencil skirts out of this fabric for a while now and I've never been able to get a perfect fit since it has zero stretch. Look forward to see what you come up with!!
