Casual Monday: #DIY Tie Dye Maxi Skirt + Tank

Hi Darlings!

I hope you guys had a great weekend. The hubby and I headed up to Vegas for the weekend to join my brother-in-law and his wife who celebrated their 15th year anniversary. We had a great time and since none of us drink, gamble, smoke or go to the clubs we enjoyed some great shows like the Jabbawockeez and ate a LOT OF FOOD. It was so good to see them and since Vegas is just a few hours drive from our house it was nice to spend quiet time alone with the hubby jamming to Tears for Fears on the drive home, LOL

Today is a busy day back so off I go, here is an oldie but goodie skirt I made in May last year using a Burda pattern, you can read that review HERE. The fabric came from Michael Levine's last year but they no longer have it available. You can get the same result by buying a cotton blend denim like THIS and using bleach to tie dye the fabric.

  1. This is cute, perfect summer skirt. I came upon your blog a few days ago and totally loving it.
You are an inspiration, I pulled out my Singer sewing machine, dust it off and said "It's time to get back in the groove" Also found my seam ripper, seam gauge, tracing wheel and all kinda goodies. My first assignment The Pencil Skirt, hoping it goes well. Thanks for sharing
