Hi Darlings!
I hope you all had a good weekend. I spent most of it sewing...yay! that always makes me feel better and gives me time to relax before the madness of coordinating July's event begins this month, there is just so much to do!!!
Today I am wearing one of the dresses I made this weekend after viewing a PIC on Pinterest that I loved and knew I could make rather quickly using a pattern Simplicity recently sent me and THIS striped fabric courtesy of Joann Fabrics . Sometimes a pattern will serve as a "block" for something else you have in mind and that is exactly what this was. A little imagination and an inspiration pic is all it takes to grab a pattern and turn it into something totally different.
This is the inspiration pic;-)
this is really hot. I love your ideas for the longer dresses.
ReplyDeleteSassy dress want to buy it!
ReplyDeleteAs always Mimi, your creativity and skills astound me. You are my inspiration. I am working hard to become nearly as good as you, and loving the adventure in the process. Awesome dress made by an awesome lady! Thank you as always for sharing your talent!

ReplyDeleteWould you believe me when I say, I just saw this fabric in Jo Ann's last weekend!! They had the green and blue version but it was sold out. Even if you don't make this dress, your maxi tutorials(dress/skirt) would be perfect for this fabric and a great project for the beginner. Awesome job Mimi.
ReplyDeleteTrena B.
Ok I love this, but I'll make it short sleeved instead. It's starting to get hot here in Texas.
ReplyDeleteI also have a question...I have had difficulties with using a pattern..it either comes out too big or too small and reading the guide sheet is kind of difficult. Is there a simpler way to make something using a pattern?
