DIY Dress + Pattern Review V8919 View A

Hi Darlings!

I am so glad Monday is over. Yesterday I was on a bad eating kick, which I do every month when it gets near that time of the month. It's like I get so hungry and nothing will satisfy my hunger unless it is greasy, cheesy, chocolaty or fried! lol ugh! So yesterday  we filled our faces with onion rings, burgers and egg rolls (I know the mix is nuts) Now I just feel gross and I am still full, lol! Today I just want fresh, clean and light please.....Now on to some DIY goodness

DIY Dress: Pattern HERE or Retail Options HERE and HERE/ Steve Madden Shoes HERE

PATTERN REVIEW

Pattern Description: V8919 View A Pullover dress (close-fitting through bust) has seam detail, and stitched hems.

Fabric Used: Pebble Finish Crepe Double Knit (similar) HERE and HERE (use code "MIMIG")

Pattern Sizing: I cut the 8

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done? Yes

Were the instructions easy to follow? YES! this is such an easy dress to make. I didn't need the instructions but I did review them and they were clear. It sews up really fast and is a great beginner pattern for any Vogue pattern virgins.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I just liked it and when I made it I needed an easy no brainer sewing project and this was perfect.

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: None. I did have to remove a 2" of ease from the waist.

Would you sew it again? I might one day, yes.

Would you recommend it to others? Yes I would.

xoxo

  14. What gets me is that the ENTIRE look is always on point! It is basically a given that your clothes will always be FAB, but head to toe is always styled perfect but still unique. It looks effortless but I'm sure it takes work! I know all of us are wishing we had your eye - one day, lol!
