DIY Pullover Top + Pattern Review V7997 Modified

Hi Darlings!

It's getting close to REGISTRATION DAY!!! for the 3rd Annual Mimi G Fashion, Sewing & Style Conference. I am so excited!!!!! I will be opening registration and posting full details on the 13th so don't forget to check back. As you may remember I keep attendance manageable and tickets sell FAST!

Okay now for my top. I had pinned a top like this in a fuzzy, fleece fabric and it just looked so cozy that I wanted to make myself one. Then while in Atlanta I saw the lovely Michelle of Social Butterfly Boutique wearing a similar version and it reminded me of that pin. I used pattern V7997 which is now out of print but you can still order it online and made some modifications of course, but nothing really major.

Modifications: I did not do any of the gathering, I doubled the width of the fold over band, added 5" in length to the top and 3" to the length of the sleeves. I also cut a size larger so it would be loose and comfy.

MAKE IT: Top Pattern HERE / Fabric (any of these will be great) HERE
BUY IT: Similar Top HERE in 3 colors, Gap Jeans (similar) HERE / Zara Shoes (old) / MK Glasses

  6. Mimi! Is there any color or anything that doesn't look great on you? (and if you say yes, I want proof! :-D) That color looks great on you and that fabric looks so comfortable. You keep me with a cart full of patterns and fabric all day. Luckily, I have that simplicity pattern, so I'll give it a try.
