DIY Dress + Leopard Heeled Sandals

Hi Darlings!

Today's look is DIY but an old one, I made and reviewed this dress in 2012, and I have only worn it once. I thought I had given the dress away long ago, but I must have really liked it and decided to keep it. I try to recycle my clothing as much as possible by giving it to charity, the girls at church, friends, but now and then I make something that I must keep. How good are you guys at purging?

  1. Gorgeous! Your fit is always impeccable! Do you have any tips for an advanced beginner (if that makes any sense lol!) to be able to get a better fit? I almost gave up on commercial patterns until I read your advice to use the finished garment measurements. My sewing life has been so much better since learning that! THANK YOU!

  6. Heeey! I think I can make this dress. The top looks like a droopy cow neck folded over instead of hanging. I made 3 cow necks last Summer. Very nice and classy

  9. Beautiful as usual. I'm really good at purging right now. Don't know how good I'll be when I get my sewing skills to the point where I can turn garments out like this.

  11. I have a super hard time purging anything I've made. I just can't... unless it turns out terribly... but even then I usually hack it up and re use some of the fabric.

  13. Your dress is incredible. I am adventuring into the land of clothing making after a stint in purse making. Do you have any advice for someone getting into clothing making? Maybe something you wish someone had told you up front.

  15. Can you please tell me what do you do about panty lines. I know that this is personal and you don't have to answer it. I just don't like my panty lines to show.

  16. Can you please recommend a computerized machine for me to try? Perhaps the one you are currently using.
