So I had purchased a skirt like this from F21 some time ago and it went missing from my closet *side eye* having teenage girls is no joke. But anyway, when I realized I no longer had it I pulled out a leopard print knit that I had found which is exactly the same leopard print as the old skirt and made my 15 min pencil skirt (video tutorial here)
If you have never sewn in your life but have wanted to try your hand at it my video tutorial on youtube for this easy pencil skirt is the best and easiest way to get a first time project made that you can actually wear. It is easy, fast and I walk you through all of it and best of all its free, lol

DeleteI tried my hand at sewing back in junior high in home economics and I was so terrible, I couldn't even sew a straight line. That was so discouraging to me, I never tried sewing again but always wanted to deep down because I think having the ability to make your own clothes would be a wonderful skill to possess. I must say that since reading your blog, I am building up courage to maybe give it another shot. Thanks for sharing your talent with us. You never know who you may inspire.

The chicken was so good and I am always looking for ways to do chicken differently. The veggies are actually just sauteed in a garlic butter, that all.

DeleteI made my first baby bottom ruffle diaper cover for when my baby comes next month! I refashioned it from a dress I had but rarely wore anyway. I plan to make her a head band today with my left over material. I cannot wait to start making clothes for myself. You are so inspiring and I love the fact that your children are involved and want to start learning. My 7 year old told me as soon as I got my sewing machine, at the beginning of this month,that she wanted to learn how to sew too. It will be a learning process for both of us.
