OOTD: DIY Maxi Skirt + Denim DIY Studded Jacket

Hello Darlings! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas day and now that things start to settle back down I am sewing like a mad woman and making video's and new tutorials which I cant wait to share. Having this time off work is helping me squeeze in all the DIY tut's I have fallen behind on.

Today I am wearing the Maxi I sneak peeked you guys with the other day. The hubby and I went to the movies and the weather was nice so I wore my skirt. The tutorial I have for the Regal Maxi w/ Sash is the same exact skirt I made here except I did not make the sash or belt loops. The fabric I used is so yummy and fab and there are like 6 delicious colors on the site. I also have on my favorite DIY craft project which was fast and easy and my version of a Zara denim jacket I saw.

  7. Love! Thanks for the fabric link. Since it's a knit, did u inser a zip or does it have enough stretch?

    1. Thanks! I did use a zipper. Even though it is stretch I did not want an elastic waistband.

  15. I LOVE anything "maxi" especially since I am tall and the stores seem to leave out petite and tall women many times. So thanks for showing us how to take control of our own fashion! Love what you do and how you do it!

  17. Hi mimi!!
Love your blog! Your style is THE BEST!! I love how you don't mind sharing info with us and always encourage us to try making things for ourselves, I have a question... The tut for the regal says 3.5/4.5 yards does that just depend on the fabric used? Like if I use rayon, polyester, jersey would it be less yardage?
