OOTD: Casual Tuesday! + Update Video

Hi Darlings! I have a busy day today and so I am going to keep today's post short. A quick update video below on Insanity, Health and General Stuff and my OOTD: Casual Tuesday

California weather is a trip! Yesterday it was in the low 50's and today it's in the mid 70's SMH
That is why some days I can wear a coat or jacket and some days an off the shoulder sweater and this super fab clutch, LOL

  5. I stumbled upon your blog last night and can officially say that it's my new obsession! One of my goals for this year is to learn to use a sewing machine. I have seen hand sewing for years, and am excited to venture into garment construction. I love your style, and your posts are so accessible that I'm not anxious about learning the machine anymore, I'm so excited and know that I will be using your blog for inspiration for years to come (I hope!) Keep doing your thing!

  6. Congrats on staying smoke-free!

I had the exact same problem with insanity; loved it until about week three and the knees just couldn't take it anymore. I should have known better LOL

  7. Love your blog! Might I suggest Pilates as a great workout, especially with your knee injury.

  8. Thank you for your blog, Mimi! I'm a new reader and I love your daily posts but you certainly don't need to post every day. I'm sure the blog can stand to be a secondary concern in your life. Please don't apologize for not posting every day. We know you have a "life" and we will eagerly wait for the next time you get to your computer.

  9. Hi Mimi,

Congrats to you for being smoke-free :-)...still working on my Mom. I pray she will stop smoking, but I know she has to do it when she's ready. Love the Casual Tuesday Outfit! Thank you for checking in and keeping us ladies motivated to eat well and work it out (kanye west)...love that song...lol

  11. Congratulations on being smoke free!! I have to tell you when I saw your picture of you cooking on Instagram that was an ah ha! moment. I can't believe I didn't think of making my food on Sunday for the week. I started blogging, but can't seem to find time to do it the way that I'd like, so I know it takes a lot of work to do what you do. Keep it up!!!

  12. When I visit fashion blogs I seek inspiration to enhance my wardrobe. What I'm finding is a lot of bloggers that like to take daily pics of their outfits that are pretty much the norm attire. I guess I'm expecting to much.

    1. Hello, clearly you don't me or my blog very well and unless most other blogs sew 90% of their wardrobes while teaching others to do the same then I'd have to say I'm nothing like them so if you didn't like my blog or were not inspired that is just fine I can't please everyone but if you knew anything about my blog or me you would no that I don't allow negativity on my blog either. Thanks for not liking me enough to take take time out of your day to tell me about it.

      Be blessed,
      xo

  14. I read that last response and CLEARLY she doesn't know your blog lol! With that being said, you inspired me to make the Obi belt and pencil skirt last weekend!! The pencil skirt didn't turn out quite like I wanted but I'll try again this weekend! Congrats on being smoke free!!

  15. Mimi, you are so cute. I did insanity a few summer ago - made it to day 60, but my knees are bad from years of step aerobics as a teen/young adult, so I hear you on the jumps. I had to be careful, but I was determined to stick with it (and the Hubs, who is STILL doing those workouts after 2 years, yikes!) I'll stick with my lovely kettlebell, thank you! Congrats on remaining smoke free and kudos on preparing your food before the week. Happy New Year!

  16. Mimi, may I suggest for you and all of your fitness followers the 6 Pack Bag Meal Management system. It can be purchased on Amazon.com. It is more than a cooler. It is a cooler with individual compartments for your meals. It also comes with the meal containers. It has multiple compartments for vitamins, fruits, supplements and a protein shake or water bottle if you like. Additionally, it comes with reusable ice packs. There are two different ones. There is a 5 meal system that a lot of men use such as myself or there is a 3 meal system that is perfect for women. My wife uses this one, as it is smaller and easier for her to transport. The best part for ladies, is they have a very feminine color as well, pink and grey. My wife and I use these every day as we are heavily into fitness and find this an invaluable tool in reaching our physique goals. We prepare all our meals on Sunday as well. Remember, eat to live, not live to eat!!
