DIY Plaid Blazer & Skirt + Pattern V8601 Giveaway!

Hi Darlings!

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and that you got everything you wished for. Most importantly I hope you took a moment to be thankful for the people in your life. Today I am spending time with the family but wanted to share my finished jacket. I had a little panel of plaid left over so I made a matching skirt lol! good way to use those scraps. My plaid boucle fabric can be found HERE & HERE in another color way. (make sure to use the coupon MIMI10)

The jacket pattern may look familiar because it's the same one I made and reviewed HERE. The pattern is out of print and almost impossible to get anymore but I have one extra size 8-16 that I will be giving away!!! Leave a comment below to enter and I will pick a winner on Monday!

If you don't follow me on Instagram you probably didn't see the construction pics I posted as I was going along. If you'd like to see them follow me @mimigstyle

  15. Hey Mimi, I love your entire blog, you are a big inspiration, I love your passion and determination, I would love to meet you one day. Like yourself I went to fashion school for one year and left as I didn't feel I was gaining anything (not to mention the huge tuition fee it cost) and pretty much self taught myself how to sew along with a few 10week courses here and there, not forgetting all of the trial and errors I encountered. I am from London, and I hope you pick me for the pattern give away as I would love to make that jacket with some lovely Chanel tweed fabric I have at my work place (yes I work in a fabric shop and yes I buy fabric non stop to a point where I have no more storage left and would love for you to visit UK so I can take you to all the fabric shops as I know them all lol)

  105. Happy Holidays to you and your family!! You have been a very big inspiration for my niece and me but my niece does not sew but her style has changed since she has been following you on instagram. I have been trying to get my hands on that pattern for the past year - I have done many on-line search's, visited many fabric stores in my area and out of my area. My niece loves that pattern and that's why I have been searching high and low for it because now she is showing interest in sewing and wants to make that outfit and I would love to make that outfit for myself but with pants instead of a short skirt because I am older. It would be great if I could win that pattern so we can start to sew together now that I have two machines.
