  3. Awesome! Congratulations, and great job on your styles!! I have a question for you. There is a heart on your shirt pattern. Is that a design feature included in your pattern, or does that stand for something?
Keep up the great work and I look to see more patterns from you!!

Congratulations on making sewing sexy and for proving something to me that my mother (who has been sewing for 50 years) has been telling me since I was a child, "If you want to make a style of your own, it's always best to make it."

  38. Congratulations! HotPatterns is a great "home" for you because their patterns are very contemporary and trendy. BIG QUESTION: Is this based on your sloper or the standards Hotpattern sloper?
I'm a big fan of Hotpatterns, but I can never get their bottoms to fit without major fitting overhaul. I have read that Trudy uses her sloper and then sizes up or down (don't know if that is true or not). If it is true it makes sense because my lower half is nothing like hers. I can make their tops without an issue. Any info you could provide would be helpful and again great collaboration. Hotpatterns has done a lot to bring sewing patterns out of the dark ages. I gladly give them my hard earned dollars when I can even if it is just to enjoy their cool pattern envelope illustrations.

    1. I have the same problem with the pants! I think the fit is very European, like Burda, and doesn't fit the American figure as well. The crotch depth is off and needes lengthening in the thigh as well.
