Happy Thursday! I am so excited for this post because when I LOVE something so much I cant wait to share it with you guys and today is one of those days. I love being able to turn a single item of clothing into three different looks! This plaid shirt is FABULOUS and so soft that I didn't want to take it off. I also love the little design details because it just makes it that much more fab.
The shirt is by Artisan De Luxe a brand that specializes in artisan craftsmanship and the best features are the elbow patches and hand stitched patches on the collar and pocket. I also LOVE that it has a faded ombre dye! You can order the shirt ($138) by calling Liv Boutique at (415) 567-4730
One Shirt Three Looks
Individual Looks
I love this 1st look because it makes me feel a little "rough around the edges" but it's still sexy.
Plaid shirts always work well with moto boots and jeans and this is a very cool look to throw on during the weekends.
This 2nd look is always a fav for me because I love taking a feminine pencil skirt and pairing it with this fab plaid shirt and soften the entire look with pearls and pumps!
The 3rd look is a no fail look. A great pair of wide leg jeans and half tucked fab plaid shirt is always fab and sexy in the most comfy way possible and I added a little sparkle with my necklace.
Shirt Details
The hand stitching is just great and not all plaid shirts work this way but this one will be in my closet rotation for a long time. As a seamstress I applaud the craftsmanship.

DeleteI love posts like this because they show different ways to get more wear out of an item (hopefully you'll do more of these). I'm also a fan of plaid shirts, and button downs in general. I know you've done a lot of tuts, but would you PLEASE show us how you do your front tuck on your button downs. I really like how it looks, but just can't seem to get it right. Thanks!

DeleteHey Mimi,
ReplyDeleteI love your style and blog; I am surprised at how versatile this shirt is. I always look forward to your posts. Prior to finding your blog, I’ve never viewed Forever 21 as place for me to shop since their targeted audience seems to be teenagers. But Thanks to your post, I’ve given it (forever 21) different view especially since I picked up a really cute top under couple of nights ago. Even my hubby thought I got it cost me a lot and was shocked to know that it was under $20. I noticed in one of your previous post, you mentioned something about The Gap pants/jeans not fitting you right. And I’ve similar problem which is finding Jeans/pants/skirts to fit me right as I am what they call “coco-cola shape” with WIDE hips (44.5) with small waist (28/29) and bust (34). This can be very frustrating and makes shopping not so fun. I’m usually not lucky with Gap/Old navy & Express. But have luck in Kenneth Cole, Banana Republic, Zara & H&M sometimes The Limited & J Crew. Just so you know, you are inspiring me to create a remixable wardrobe, which is something I’ve strived for a while now. But with your help /post, I believe I’m setting out on the right path, LOL!!
Thanks and keep doing what you do!!!
Sorry for the long post
Nelly
