OOTD: DIY Sequin Pants! Look At Me I'm Sparkling

Hi Darlings!!

So remember when I said I was going to make those Hot Pattern 1158 again in sequin? well I did it. It almost cost me an eye ball but I finished them, lol. If you have ever sewn with sequin (good quality sequin) you know that as you cut the sequin starts popping up like shiny popcorn so it was all over the place including my face, LOL!  I need to go buy some safety glasses for next time!

For my non-sewing fashion divas they are available on STITCHED9 for a limited time!

What type of needle and stitch did you use to make the sequin pants?

Also, will you be doing a tutorial on sewing sequin fabric?

  9. I want sequin pants now - something I NEVER thought would ever be on my "must have NOW" list. Seriously, my 4 year old would love me in something like these and would wonder why I didn't wear them all the time, especially to work. Too bad I work for a bank...

  12. Hey Mimi love the look. Usually when I sew with sequins, I seam rip the ones in the seam allowance. Maybe that would have saved your eye! Lol. Can't wait to create my own. Also, I found Kelly green leather and pink leather that costed me a breast bone, but I will be sewing them up. Is there a more harem style pant pattern that you love? Or I could take this one and drop the crotch a little more. Thanks for inspiring!

  14. I'm impressed on how you can always make this cropped length work.
Is it the heels? Sometimes whether you are tall or short the cropped length can just be awkward but it works for you wonderfully. Would you recommend a particular shoe style over another if someone is concerned about looking too "stumpy" with this pant length?
