Hi Darlings!
Did you guys have a good weekend? I had a great weekend with the family and I had a chance to make myself another off the shoulder dress (I am obsessed) it's so easy to sew up and I can wear it for a casual day in flats or with sexy heels for date night.
You have seen this dress already in grey and black and if you sew you probably already own the STEP BY STEP TUTORIAL but I could not pass up the chance to wear it and photograph it again, especially since the hubby loves to see me in it.
I am trying to get some work done today but I woke up with terrible sinus pain and I have been trying really hard not to get sick. Although I rather get sick now instead of later in the week when I am in Atlanta. Speaking of ATLANTA....I am BEYOND CAPACITY for the Meet & Greet....Seriously the RSVP's are overwhelming and I am so excited to meet each and every one of you.
VALENTINE'S DAY SPECIAL: We have also added the dress to STITCHED9 as a Valentines Day Special with aN even more special price.
Wow, I did not know you were coming to Atlanta. You have really inspired me to make my own clothes. I am sorry it is sold out hopefully you will visit Atlanta again....
ReplyDeleteThat style of dress is so beautiful and simple, the belt is a great embellishment and the heels are so cute. 'On Point" as usual. Feel better soon and I hope to see you in Atlanta.
ReplyDeleteYAY! Making my first comments!
ReplyDeleteAnyways, I love double-knit fabric but have been too scared to use them until now. My concern is because this dress is form-fitting, will extra "bumps & humps" and "jams & jiggles" show? Or, will the reinforcement of the double-knit act as a slight body smoother so I won't need undergarment support? I ask because I want to buy your tutorial to make this dress in time for a festival in Spring, but don't want to wear a lot of layers. Do you think I will be fine, or should I consider making a double-knit lining when I make the dress?
Wow! The red looks great on you Mimi! I just finished a short black one this weekend, I'll have to make another. :-) Hope you feel better and have fun in Atlanta. Hopefully one day you'll make it out to the DC area.
ReplyDeleteYour style is so classic/timeless/chic/sexy(w/o being raunchy). When I grow up (I'm 36) I want to be like you. ;-) Come to Philly!
ReplyDeleteGod bless!
I feel the SAME exact way!!!! (and I'm 35!!!---smile)

Absolutely gorgeous!! I will be making this one. Also I've notice the jumper is similar will you have a tutorial showing how to combine the top of this dress with the bottom of the jumper? I have both tutorials and I'm not sure how to do it on my own. Thank you so much for sharing your gift of sewing with me and others. Love u much and looking forward to meeting you in July

Hello ther. I was wondering if you will ever come to St. Louis, MO. It would be great if you could.
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous! Love the shoes and belt with it as well.
ReplyDeleteOMG TOO CUTE!!! Can't wait to meet you on the 2nd!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!! And love the leopard accents!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful in red. Love it.. another great job.
ReplyDeleteI swear by a mixture of organic apple cider vinegar and water to keep the sinus and sickness away. Mix between a teaspoon and tablespoon of it with cold water and drink every day. I used to get about 8 sinus infections a year. Now, maybe one. Once you get past the taste, it's awesome.
Love that you added the leopard print belt to the dress. red and leopard works so well together.
ReplyDeleteYou are stunning Mimi! LOVE this look :)
ReplyDeleteI love everything you make. I just can't decide which one I love more.
ReplyDeleteIt is FREEZING here in Hotlanta! Hopefully, all the bad weather that is supposed to be coming will be gone by the end of the week. You have to try Piece of Cake's keylime cupcakes! Heaven!!
ReplyDeleteHey..i love your maxi dresses and was wondering what fabric you use to make them.
