If you missed this mornings post about my interview with Kinky CLICK HERE
Hi Darlings!
I wanted to share my thoughts on some recent products I have been using. I hope you find the video informative and below are links for the products mentioned. #notsponsored
Remington Smooth & Silky HERE
I do not leaving home without my cleansing wipes and my spray that is from the same line. I don't ever want to have the feel in of being unclean. I've made sure to share the info with my nieces and now they always have it on hand in their purses. This is a subject that a lot of girls don't really know about because some ladies don't like to talk about it.
ReplyDeleteHi Mimi,
ReplyDeleteAs crazy as this sounds, I was sooo excited to see this video today. I am an esthetics instructor and I teach my students how to perform bikini waxing on clients. We had just talked about trimmers and which one's they prefer, benefits, etc. So this came just in time and of course I shared it on our fb page. Thanks again sharing your time and knowledge with all of us. You are an amazing and inspiring woman and I hope to see you next time there is a Sewing meetup in Cali. Take care and God Bless.
XOXO,
Wynter
Thank you for saying the hard thing...alot of young girls are not being mentored about this by their mothers...someone had to say it. Thank you
ReplyDeleteIt's my understanding that you should not use scented products in your vagina. In fact the recommendations is just plain warm water. Scented products can change of ph balance and cause yeast or other infections. I personally bathe with unscented dove soap followed by Dr. Bronner's Magic Soap (Lavender) all over except my vagina. Since ive started doing this, my vagina health has been very nice. ♡♡
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing Tammy xo! LOL @ My vagina health has been very nice. Love it!!!
DeleteUnfortunately I found out the hard way that I could not use S/E products. I am very sensitive and had an allergic reaction. I am looking for alternatives.
DeleteNever trust a woman that does not use/carry wipes!!!
ReplyDeleteLOL!
DeleteGreat post! I have always had issues with drying and irritation when using soaps down there. I've been using the Summer's Eve cleansing wash and cloths for a while now and I love them. The individually wrapped cleansing cloths are perfect to stash in you purse. I'm definitely going to try the Remington trimming kit. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteWas definitely looking for a different shaver. Thanks I will be trying this one out....
ReplyDeleteI like apple cider vinegar and water as a wash throughout the day it restores ph. Sometimes I put a little in my bath water as well.
ReplyDeleteMimi, I love how your keeping it real!
ReplyDeleteGreat Information!!! You told it like it is regarding feminine hygiene. I couldn't help but to chuckle about shaving and the discomfort of it when the hair starts to grow back. What you said is so true!!! Anyways, Summer's Eve has been around for awhile, and is a great product. Thanks for sharing, Mimi!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing about the Remington. I'll look to see if I find one.
ReplyDeleteReally enjoyed the blog! I too love the SE wash! I was using Cetaphil which is also very good; just a little more pricey. So I was happy to find SE! I'll have to try the Remington gadget though. I've had the ingrown hair down there and that is no joke!! OMG!!!!! Thanks again!
ReplyDeleteAppreciate the video. Very informative and definitely keeping it real!
ReplyDeleteSummer's Eve also has to go wipes so you can be more discreet with your use when in public. My "period pack" as I like to call it, has those in there along with pantiliners, midol, and tampons. Love your vagina ladies and it will keep you happy!!!
ReplyDeleteI actually shave and it doesn't itch and don't have razor bumps. Two things I do is shave with how my hair grows. A lot of people make the mistake of shaving against the grain. I'm sure how your hair is also affects how you react to to shaving. I know coarse hair can give you issues with razor bumps.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a great post!
ReplyDeleteGreat post! I have such issues with razor bumps, ingrown hairs, and itching that I just started getting waxed. I haven't had any issues since then, but, dang! It's expensive! Would love an alternative like this shaver. You don't have any issues like with a traditional razor?
ReplyDeleteYour so awesome. Thanks for sharing. You can get the trimmer for $16 on amazon if anyone is interested.
ReplyDeleteHi mimi thank you so much that was very helpful, just wanted to ask l live in the UK, l have never seen these products before, and l really need it, do you have any idea where l. can find them please help
ReplyDeleteMany thanks
Dr bronners peppermint magic soap is my favorite vagina cleanser. I use the clio from Walmart as my go to shaver.
ReplyDeleteDo you get the tangly sensation from the peppermint? I use this soap to wash my hair, never tried it for my vagina.
DeleteGreat review Mimi. I also love the Charmin wipes, they are very refreshing. My plan this week is to try the pH Refresh wipes and wash. I heard they were great also.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing Mimi
ReplyDeleteLoved this so much!!! Sharing!!!
ReplyDeleteI went to Targét last night and grabbed my Remington. It is wonderful! Thanks for posting the "Va J-J" video, LOL
ReplyDeleteI personally get it waxed all off. I hate shaving, doesn't work for me. I like all the hair gone & smooth...lol. I also use Summer's Eve, love their products, my favorite is the Island Splash!!!! Mimi thank you for sharing and starting this dialogue.
ReplyDelete"Plus, it kinda feels a little good, ok..." LOL, had me rolling! Thanks so much for sharing your tips Mimi!
ReplyDeleteI love Summer's Eve. I learned the hard way not to use the store brand feminine wash. It is not the same. Left me very irritated. But never had a problem with SE. I will have to try individual wipes for my purse.
ReplyDeleteMy gyn doc has stated only using water WHICH I practice for the most part BUT I also use wipes when I want an instant refreshner. To each its own, my under carriage doesn`t react to it. Know you girl downstairs...everyones` under carriage reacts differently. Thank you Mrs. Mimi Luv ya girl.
ReplyDeleteMimi, I just want to thank you for posting this video. My mother did not talk to me much about hygiene more or less anything to do with maintaining the kitty. I am very prone to ingrown hairs and my kitty is very sensitive to any type of shaving product I use. I've tried various trimmers and electric shavers, but they all either irritate the kitty or cause some serious ingrown hairs. I hate to shave, but feel compelled to because I personally don't want my kitty rockin an afro, EVEN THOUGH I know shaving carries the possibility of serious ingrown hair issues later down the line.
ReplyDeleteI will definitely be looking into the Remington trimmer and I'm excited about the piece that exfoliates!!! Again, thank you!!
I sware by the Remington trimmer ... Works amazing without breakouts great for us woman with sensitive skin
ReplyDeleteI carry a little squirt bottle and keep it filled with plain old tap water, after every trip to the restroom i just wash down and pat dry my lady parts. I have found this to be clean, safe and very hygienic without the irritation some can get from feminine products. #istinja
ReplyDeleteI was thinking, "istinja" and then I saw your hashtag. ;) #salaam
DeleteHi Mimi--Thanks for sharing. I love your blog! While we're on the subject of 'down there', something that I carry during that time of the month are feminine disposable bags to use when I need to discreetly dispose certain items. I find them useful especially when using public restrooms, at work or even at a friend's house. I bought these on Amazon and find them very practical! http://www.amazon.com/Scensibles-Personal-Disposal-Sanitary-Tampons/dp/B001PYQE78/ref=sr_sp-atf_image_1_1?s=hpc&ie=UTF8&qid=1394672525&sr=1-1&keywords=scensibles
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for sharing about the Remington!!!! I have been going through a variety of products trying to find the right one to trim without irritation. I found out very sadly that I could not use bikini wax or hair removers without irritation or getting burned :-( This was at the right time, you are a true blessing, thank you!!!
ReplyDeletePeace and Blessings xoxo
For some reason I was sure you'd be mentioning the Diva Cup and their wash. (Fantastic product, changed my time of the month for the better)
ReplyDeleteWhat tips do you have for facial cleansing?
ReplyDeleteCould you do one on legs and underarm hair? Pleeeeease! :)
