ReplyDeleteYes!!!! I can't wait!!! (Wait, I guess I can, because I have to anyway! LOL!) This reminds me somewhat of the Old Navy Maxi Dress that you wore. I love this style. I had something like this in mind that I wanted to make, but didn't know how to go about it. I would have to add some straps though, because I got big ta-ta's. LOL!!!!
ReplyDeleteI wish I had big ta-ta's LOL

DeleteI stumbled across your blog yesterday while on pinterest. Someone pinned the maxi skirt tutorial. I must say, I'm addicted. I'm a first time mom and this year will be my first mother's day. At first I was asking for a pandora charm bracelet instead I'm asking for a sewing machine with some spending cash so I can get some really nice fabric. Thank you for this wonderful blog. -Angie from Memphis
ReplyDeleteOMG! That is so amazing! yay!!
DeleteSo excited for you Angie!

DeleteHey Mimi, I've just stumbled across your blog from your review on PR. Just to let you know that I absolutely loved, loved, loved your tutorial on the maxi skirt. As I've never sewn with knit fabric before, this will be my very first project using a knit fabric. I've bookmarked you to read you regularly.

DeleteI can't wait to see the tutorial! Since i've seen the maxi skirt tutorial, i've been plotting on how to get a sewing machine quick fast and in a hurry, lol. I hope to have one by this weekend so that i can play around and learn how to use it and then start sewing. I need pieces that will go along with my weightloss and skirts and dresses are where it's at. Thanks so much for willingly sharing your knowledge in the world of sewing. Do you have any tips/tricks for beginners?
ReplyDeleteHi Sweetheart! omg that makes me so happy! there is a post on my blog for tips and stuff for beginners, will have more coming soon!

Mimi is going to make me faublous!! I love your OOTD, I have that very pull over in black..never wear it tho..UNTIL NOW:) And your flower ring UGH!! All the elements I love (Bling, Pearls and flower) I love it! Being a "not thin chic" I try not to do too many maxi items BUT I'm going to have to give in to this. I usually wear a jacket or cardi and a wedge to add height to my 5'2 frame. So I'm game for a new tutorial. Thanks Mimi!!
ReplyDeletewoohoo, sexy is back! were it girl!
DeleteDefinite yay!
ReplyDeleteHi Mimi, a friend emailed your blog link to me a few months ago. I took a quick look , enjoyed what I saw and added it to this list of things to get back to when I had time. Well, that day finally came and I'm so in love with your blog. I've been working my way back through your blog because I want to see everything you've posted. I even read you blog in the car while riding (yes riding not drivig) home with my husband. Last night I made two maxi skirts for myself and tonight I'm going to make two for my daughter. You've inspired me to start sewing for myself again. I love your view on sewing for others and that's what I've been doing. Spending all my precious time sewing for others. Not anymore, I'm going to sew for me and my daughter. I can't wait to get home to my sewing machine.
ReplyDeleteYes, please! Your tutorials are so amazing. With them you can modify, and add your own little flare to it!
ReplyDeleteI liveeeee for your tutorials! So, yay, yay, and yay!
Hi Mimi I new to your page and to sewing, but I luv your flavor and sytle. I can't wait to see the tutorial. I collected some photos of inspiration dresses out the magazine. And Banana Republic had one very similar to this style. So needless to say I'm amped!!!!
