DIY Mock Wrap Dress + Pattern Review M6884 View A

Hi Darlings!

I love when I come across a pattern and don't need to do any fitting adjustments. It is RARE that I can sew out of the envelope but this McCall pattern did just that. The pattern is fast and easy to sew up and will become a favorite for sure.

Pattern Description: McCall 6884 Close-fitting, pullover, mock wrap dresses have right front variations, tie ends and narrow hems.

Pattern Sizing: I cut the 6

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done with it? Yes

Were the instructions easy to follow? Very easy to understand and follow. I did not need them but did read them for the sake of the review. The dress is pretty straight forward.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I love anything that looks like a wrap, is a wrap, fits like a wrap.

Fabric Used: Fabric courtesy of (no longer available) but HERE are some options

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: NONE

Would you sew it again? Yes, I plan to make it again.

Would you recommend it to others? I would for sure. It is a great little pullover dress.

  1. This is lovely #Sexytiger. All I can do at this time is Pin Pin Pin to Pinterest and circle back later to see when I can find the time to sew. Love it

  2. I love the shoes! Where could I find them?

  5. Love the dress. I had been looking at that fabric on for a while, as the saying goes you snooze you loose, lol.

  6. A fabric design that I would find intimidating... you make it look easy peasy... but that is the point. :)

  11. I haven't checked your blog in a few days and you've created a whole wardrobe of great looking garments. How do you do it? You're an inspiration!

  12. Amazing dress! It looks great on you! I had a look at the pattern, and on the detail pictures there, it did`nt look so "body-hugging" as it did on you. Did you choose youre normal size? Or is there an option for slim-edition or non? I really liked it, but would prefer if it was`nt so tight around the hips...:D
    And amazing fabric shoice!

  13. Omg, that is the most stunning, accentuated, made for my boobs dress I hv ever seen, who can I get to sew this on me, id wear my long 3' wedge heel boots, for sure, Thank you my niecy for showing it to me!!! Yvette Wright,,,,

  14. Is there another fabric option so it won't be so clingy? I love wrap dresses but this would not be appropriate for me to wear to work and my religious services...thanks!

Thank you for taking time to comment ;-)
