DIY Mock Wrap Dress + Pattern Review M6884 View A

Hi Darlings!

I love when I come across a pattern and don't need to do any fitting adjustments. It is RARE that I can sew out of the envelope but this McCall pattern did just that. The pattern is fast and easy to sew up and will become a favorite for sure.

Pattern Description: McCall 6884 Close-fitting, pullover, mock wrap dresses have right front variations, tie ends and narrow hems.

Pattern Sizing: I cut the 6

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done with it? Yes

Were the instructions easy to follow? Very easy to understand and follow. I did not need them but did read them for the sake of the review. The dress is pretty straight forward.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I love anything that looks like a wrap, is a wrap, fits like a wrap.

Fabric Used: Fabric courtesy of www.fabric.com (no longer available) but HERE are some options

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: NONE

Would you sew it again? Yes, I plan to make it again.

Would you recommend it to others? I would for sure. It is a great little pullover dress.

  6. A fabric design that I would find intimidating... you make it look easy peasy... but that is the point. :)

  12. Amazing dress! It looks great on you! I had a look at the pattern, and on the detail pictures there, it did`nt look so "body-hugging" as it did on you. Did you choose youre normal size? Or is there an option for slim-edition or non? I really liked it, but would prefer if it was`nt so tight around the hips...:D
    And amazing fabric shoice!

  14. Is there another fabric option so it won't be so clingy? I love wrap dresses but this would not be appropriate for me to wear to work and my religious services...thanks!
