FREE Make-Up Brush Roll Up TUTORIAL!

Hi Darlings!

This is the second project I had the pleasure of sharing during Craftcation on behalf of BERNINA. What I love so much is that it is fast and easy to make and you can adjust the width of the lines to accommodate, crayons, pencils, sewing tools, knitting needles etc. They also make really great gifts! The fabric combinations are endless!

Download your PDF Tutorial HERE The Fabric I used are from Michael Levine's and they have SO MANY fun quilting prints. Don't forget to use your coupon MIMIAPRIL10!

  3. Mimi, I purchased 45" width fabric for the long maxi skirt bundle I purchased. I did not realize until I read another video on your website that I possibly should have purchased 60 width. My waist is 42" and per your calculation my waist measurement is 32. The folded fabric is not long enough. How can I resolve this issue with the 5 yards of fabric I purchased? HELP!!!!

    1. No worries and its not wide enough (not long enough) it will be fine. You can use the two panels cut to the width and it will work but will have less fullness or you can cut 3 panels and join them to create a very full skirt. ;-)

    2. Mimi so that will be 3 panels for the front and back similar to the Butterick skirt sew-a-long tutorial? To clarify my measurement for the 3 panels (a total of 6 panels)will be 11" wide?

Do you have a specific video tutorial with basic measurement instructions and size of fabric based on your measurements?

      THANKS MIMI!!!

  4. Good Morning Mimi: I have a question regarding the maxi tutorial that I purchased from you. I discovered after watching one of your other video that I should have purchased 60" width fabric. My waist is 42" and per your instructions I should measure at 32". Well....folded in half the 45" width fabric is too short. Will you please let me know how I may work this out with the 5 yards of fabric that I purchased? I think I figured it out, but I need your expert advise!!!

  6. Thanks for yet another fab tutorial!

    On another note...
I recently used a hand basting technique I saw in one of your other videos. The results were great. I wanted to say thanks again for the time you take to put these tutorials together. I can't imagine the time it takes to film, edit etc. on top of being a wife and mother. So thank you so much. I really appreciate being able to learn from you. (^_^)

  8. Thank you Mimi for this tutorial. If you don't mind I ask you a question - every time I am trying to do simple quilting or just sewing some sandwiched fabric, I have bunched up and shifted at the end of the stitch line. It is not pretty. Because of that I almost gave up on any type of quilting.... I have 10 y.o. Kenmore. Any idea what I could do?

    1. I doll, you can either loosen the pressure of your presser foot or you can also by a walking foot which helps guide the top fabric while the feed dogs pull the bottom.
