Open Back + Wax Coated Jeans

Attention! Claire over at SA Curve is having a birthday sale 20% off! if you don't have her rulers you really should get one, they are my most used tool in my sewing room (she is also in my sidebar)

Hi Darlings!

I would love to say that I am having a great day but I ended up at the doctors office yesterday and turns out I have a viral sinus infection and my throat is on fire ;-( on top of the pounding headache and sinus pressure I am just beat and tired. I am hoping this goes away quickly because I have so much to get done and now my son has a runny nose and a cough.

Anyway, I didn't want to go another day without posting so I pulled pics from last weekend that I hadn't put up so I thought I'd share them today. Be blessed dolls and send me well wishes.

Lesson #3 Video

F21 Sweater (old) / #DIY Pants using New Look Pattern 6189 / Audrey Brooks Heels (old)

I just had to make another pair of these in this yummy kelly green wool I ordered last year online for a project that I never got around to doing. The color is great and the pants were great this weekend when I wore them out with the family on our usual Sunday errands.
My baby girl wanted to pose with mommy, lol she is so cute!

#DIY Perfect Pants & Peplum + Pattern Review + GIVEAWAY!

Video is fixed now and not private.

Hi Darlings!

I always get so excited when I pull out a pattern, cut it out, sew it up and it fits! that rarely ever happens and it happens even less with pants! pants patterns are probably the most difficult thing to make not because it is hard to put together because actually pants are relatively easy to construct but fitting them is an entirely different beast.

Needless to say that when I find a pants pattern that fits without any major adjustments it becomes a TNT (Tried and True) pattern for me and this pattern is just that! The video review below has my thoughts on the pattern and the slight adjustment I made.

Now I am so excited about these pants that Simplicity has been generous enough to give me TWO ADDITIONAL PATTERNS TO GIVEAWAY!

Simplicity.com - Tools for Creativity

I will select TWO WINNERS on Sunday so check back then. All you have to do for a chance to win this fantastic pattern is to leave a comment here on the blog and "LIKE"or leave a comment on Simplicity's Facebook Wall

Fabric: I used a wonderful black wool crepe found HERE but these would be great in THIS denim or in THIS amazing printed silk twill *swoon* / Interfacing: I know you have heard me say it but interfacing is just as important and will ruin your project if you don't choose properly. HERE is the interfacing I used for the waistband it was perfect!

OOTD: Gold Sweater + Cap Toe Heels

Hi Darlings!

I am already behind on all things blog related, lol so a heads up that lesson 3 will prob be up on Monday again. Someone asked me a question about preparing your fabric that I did not mention in the video so YES you should prepare your lining fabric too.

So today's OOTD brought on memories of Solid Gold, lol who remembers that show?
