OOTD: Denim and Cord + Making Mens Wear Sexy

Hi Darlings! It is almost Friday and can I just share my excitement with you because it will be the first weekend in MONTHS since the hubby and I will have the house to ourselves!! I. CANT.WAIT.

Today I am rocking what I call my sexy menswear and let me just tell you it is probably my most favorite "look" to wear because it is so comfy! I am rocking these fabulous "Sexy Boyfriend" Cords from the GAP (yes, the Gap again, LOL) I had a bit of a shopping spree there a few weeks ago. The key to the mens wear look is to keep it simple and use the heels and accessories to girly it up. Oh and before I forget...you guys have asked what size I wear in Gap Pants...I wear a size 4.

Color Me Green! How to Wear Bold Colors

Hi Darlings,  Happy Tuesday. Yesterday was such a *meh* day that today I needed a little color pick me up, I am LOVING green, and lucky for me I had just bought this great Gap sweater. Now I am not afraid of color and I wear it all year long and since I am still feeling the whole color-blocking thing I thought I'd share my method to the madness.

Mimi G.'s Step's To Wearing Bold Colors

1. Use no more than 3 Bright colors

2. Use a neutral (black, brown, blue, tan etc.) color to add balance 

3. Don't use the same bright colors in ALL of your accessories. 

4. Keep the "extras" to a minimal or you will start to look like Nicki Minja, lol

Keeping It Neutral + Seamster In The Making

Hi Darlings! It is Monday and I am so not in the mood to be cute today, LOL I really just wanted to leave the house this morning in sweat pants and a t-shirt (sacrilege, I know!) but that is how I was feeling so this neutral palette is the best I could manage today ^_^ besides I was most excited about sharing the two pieces my baby girl Lexi (who blogged about it here) made.

I was so excited to see her enjoying it and having never sewn before she did great, followed direction and knocked out this McCall 6566 tshirt in a half day and then on Sunday I found her following my pencil skirt tutorial on youtube, LOL and she did it! she made the pencil skirt ;-) please visit her blog and give her a thumbs up.

Gap Green Khaki's & DIY Top + Updates

Happy Friday! Well what a week I have been having right? geez. So a quick update on the blog, it seems that many of you had me bookmarked by the original "blogspot" address so you have been able to find me pretty quickly and some who only knew me as "mimigstyle.com" are still getting google 404 errors. Google says they are working on it so until then I am still very much visible via www.mimigoodwin.blogspot.com please make sure to let your friends know for me...good thing is once the custom domain is fixed the "blogspot" address will still continue to work too.

Okay, enough about stuff I cant control and on to what I can control, MY LOOK! lol I promise you that GAP is not paying me to shop there and review....BUT maybe they should because I am loving me some GAP right now...GAP, you listening?? *wink* The top I have on is from my Spring 2010 collection, I am going to release it as a pattern soon ;-)

Using a Serger + T-Shirt Maxi Tutorial Reviewed!

Hi darlings, I swear I am having the worst few days...you know those times when it seems like things just keep going wrong, lol my hubby tells me it is just god testing my patience ;-)

I cant quite figure out why on earth it is taking google/blogger to fix this problem which just makes my stomach turn when I look at my blogger stats and see the amount of traffic now that the custom domain is not working, it kills me but what can I do. If I move the blog now it will just cause more confusion so instead I have decided to transfer my domain and when that happens (takes a few days) I will point the mimigstyle.com domain wherever I need to.  BUT because I did not want to go another day without posting just because the platform I use is incompetent I am just going to continue posting and hope everyone can find me until it gets worked out.

Review of T-Shirt Maxi Tutorial 

 I'm so excited to share this pic and review from a blog follower and blogger herself Kelly H. who did an amazing job on the T-shirt Maxi Tutorial and wrote all about it! I am most excited because it highlights one thing that I get asked often about if my tutorials work for plus size women because many go based on the image I use of myself for the tutorials and this is a fabulous and sexy example of how my tutorial works for women of all sizes and shapes.
